  • Specified preparation of all menu items, cooking skills, which includes quality as well as timeliness.
  • Food preparation and processing according to FDA, ServSafe Guidelines
  • Sanitation - (empty garbage, cleaning cooking line, sanitation buckets, etc.)
  • Rotation of all stock according to FIFO and FDA, ServSafe Guidelines
  • Maintain high cooking standards and integrity with food and plating
  • Side work - as assigned by management (cleaning, restocking, miscellaneous duties)
  • Cost control - (portion control, rotation of food, loss due to improper use of company property-dish breakage, etc.)
  • Clean-up duties - line area, grill, fryer, microwave, floors, cooler and freezers
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

Experience and Education:

  • At least One Year (1 yr.) previous bar and/or restaurant experience required
  • High School diploma or GED Preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 55 lbs.

  • Create and Deliver a Great Guest Experience Every Single Time in accordance with Pig & Grits hospitality and service standards
  • Prepares room for dining by setting tables, caddies, napkins, sauces, and utensils.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and control policies.
  • Guides patrons selecting food and beverages by presenting menu; offering appetizers; suggesting entrees; explaining the daily features; answering food preparation questions. Demonstrate vast menu knowledge and ingredient knowledge
  • Properly and promptly serves orders by picking up and delivering patron's choices from kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments
  • Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing necessary utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
